The Maratus Mission
Mission Objectives
This mission is designed to support a payload from UW's Astronomy Department that aims to study the Circumgalactic Medium. This project will advance our understanding of how galaxies form, and will be the second mission supported by AACT. This mission is a 6U CubeSat with very tight pointing requirements and will be a 4 year-long effort.
Preliminary Design
AACT supported a fourth year capstone team that helped us carry out an initial system design. They worked hard over two semesters to design everything from the target orbit, subsystems, and payload interface. Their final report is available here and provides all of the details. More to come!
